One of the blogs I follow is Cerulean Sanctum. Today Dan had a post that sent chills down my spine at its implications. It was a post about a new web site called “Eight Maps.”
One of my favorite pastimes is looking at maps. I love Google Maps and using Google Earth. Well, like all good things, there always has to be some nefarious use for them. Eight Maps blends the mapping technology of Google with the list of folks who donated money to Proposition 8. Sure, the information is a matter of public record. But the intent of the website I think is clear: “let’s provide a simple pin-point map of all the people who gave money to this proposition so we can either send them a nice little package in the mail or drive up to their house to have a chat.”
Paul was right:
“But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.” 1 Timothy 3:1
We, the church, need to stand fast and cling to God and His Word and His Truth.
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.” Ephesians 6:11-13
