Lovingkindness, Compassion and Faithfuless

Posted By Joe on February 11, 2009

griefIn the midst of trials, pain, suffering, or just a lack of faith, we need something to get us through. It's often that it's simply enough to know God's character.

This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. The Lord's lovingkindnesses, indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. --Lamentations 3:21-23.

Simple words, but so much truth packed in to them.

Is there a passage or verse that helps get you through?

  1. Ike says:

"Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good." 1 Peter 4:19

"In this one verse is summarized the teaching of the entire letter. Christians do not suffer accidentally or because of the irresistible forces of blind fate; rather, they suffer according to God's will. . . . Therein lies the knowledge that there is a limit to the suffering, both in its intensity and in its duration, a limit set and maintained by the God who is our creator, our savior, our sustainer, our Father."
