The Names of God

A while back, I was thinking about all the different names for God. When I say that, I'm not saying that "all paths lead to God" or that all "gods" are the same. I'm talking about different names for The God: the God of Israel, the God of the Bible.
Here are seven primary names of God, their meanings, Bible references and their compounds.
ELOHIM
- Means "Strong One" in Genesis 1:1
- Compound 1: "El Elyon" meaning "Most High" in Genesis 14:22
- Compound 2: "El Olam" meaning "Everlasting God" in Genesis 21:33
- Compound 3: "El Shaddai" meaning "God Almight" in Genesis 17:1
ADONAI / YAHWEH
- "Adonai" means "Lord (Master)" in Joshua 5:14
- "Yahweh" means "I am the One who is" (the "I AM": "The active, self-existent one") in Exodus 3:14
- Compound 1: "Yahweh Jireh" meaning "The Lord will provide" in Genesis 22:14
- Compound 2: "Yahweh Nissi" meaning "The Lord is my Banner" in Exodus 17:15
- Compound 3: "Yahweh Shalom" meaning "The Lord is Peace" in Judges 6:24
- Compound 4: "Yahweh Sabbaoth" meaning "The Lord of Hosts" in 1 Samuel 1:3
- Compound 5: "Yahweh Maccaddeshcem" meaning "The Lord who sanctifies you" in Exodus 31:13
- Compound 6: "Yahweh Raah" meaning "The Lord my Shepherd" in Psalm 23:1
- Compound 7: "Yahweh Tsidkenu" meaning "The Lord our Righteousness in Jeremiah 23:6
- Compound 8: "Yahweh Shammah" meaning "The Lord is there" in Ezekiel 48:35
- Compound 9: "Yahweh Elohim" meaning "The Lord, the God of Israel" in Judges 5:3, Isaiah 17:6
THEOS
- Means "God" in Matthew 1:23
KURIOS
- Means "Lord" in Matthew 5:33
DESPOTES
- Means "Master" in Acts 4:24

- Means "Father" in John 4:24, 15:16
