- Jesus Has Moved: He Lives in Houston Now
So I'm up to three posts now on Jose Luis De Jesus Miranda. I've already posted about him in an introductory post as well as a post about where to send him fan mail. The Florida address is the headquarters as far as I can tell, but Jesus Jose Luis God now lives in Houston and has at least one church there now.
I'm sure that I could do a pretty good exposition on why this guy is a complete fraud, but I think his own words will suffice. So, without further adieu...
I think one of the most troubling quotes is at 2:02 in the clip. This poor woman tells the interviewer:
"Some people tell me that he looks like the devil. If that's true, then I want to be with the devil, because he makes me so happy."
Is that not the modus operandi of Satan? Isn't that the lie that he said to Eve in the garden? But--and here is the real painful kicker of this whole mess with this guy--Lynn Mitchell points out something that has fueled the grow of Miranda's "church":
“I think it represents a very heavy failure of Christian churches because Christian churches have not really conveyed their message for decades now. So people think of the Christian church as being a downer as always talking about people being sinners and so forth."
Two things with regard to Mitchell's quote: the first part is clearly the churches' fault. The second is the fulfillment of 2 Timothy 4:3-4. In other words, ain't nobody clean. The only remedy for this predicament is to get back into the Word of God, where all lies will be seen in the brilliant light of day and false prophets such as Miranda will be found out and exposed for the workers of evil they are.
May He Increase!

The Bible cannot be the final authority for faith and life without an infallible authority to explain the meaning of the words in the Bible. Too many ministers differ/conflict on interpretation of this "final authority".
James, I'm not exactly sure what your point is, considering the the post you commented on.
But if I'm understanding what you're saying, your point is that the Bible isn't the revealed Word of God. If God is who He says He is, and the Bible is His Word, then I think that pretty much makes it as infallible as you can get.
Still, let's look at it from a different perspective. We own a 2006 Honda Civic. It's a 4-door sedan or car. If we take your analog and apply it to this, then you're saying that you really cannot say that the Honda Civic is a car because someone might think it's a truck. Therefore, no one can really say what the Civic is as it's open to interpretation. Clumsy example, perhaps, but I think you get the point.
Just because there may be incompetent, disagreeing, or even evil ministers, that does not invalidate what the Bible is: the infallible Word of God.
