Friday Link Love! Episode 4

It’s been a tough couple of weeks. After a short vacation that wasn’t very restful, I came home to a bad cold. Then, I found out yesterday from the doctor that I have strep throat! I’ve caught up on my blog reading–more or less–and these eleven items of note I wanted to share with you this week:

1. I’ve never been a fan of the Prosperity Gospel and I’m happy to see that John Piper isn’t either. Wonderful reminder post of why it’s nonsense.
2. My blogging friend–all the way from South Africa–Philip Gibb, just started a new blog where he’ll be documenting his relationship with his son. Wonderful idea and great blog. If I had the time, I would like to do this for my sons but I can barely keep up with May He Increase. Anyhow, Philip’s current post is about his struggles with spending time with his son.
3. Ashley Rose asks the important question: “Do you really know what you’re doing?“
4. Over at the Evangelical Outpost, there is a post discussing Obama’s recent comments that “America is not a Christian Nation.”
5. For you Christian bloggers out there, Blogging Ministry has a a post on “The Importance of Browser Checks.”
