It’s been a tough couple of weeks. After a short vacation that wasn’t very restful, I came home to a bad cold. Then, I found out yesterday from the doctor that I have strep throat! I’ve caught up on my blog reading–more or less–and these eleven items of note I wanted to share with you this week:
- I’ve never been a fan of the Prosperity Gospel and I’m happy to see that John Piper isn’t either. Wonderful reminder post of why it’s nonsense.
- My blogging friend–all the way from South Africa–Philip Gibb, just started a new blog where he’ll be documenting his relationship with his son. Wonderful idea and great blog. If I had the time, I would like to do this for my sons but I can barely keep up with May He Increase. Anyhow, Philip’s current post is about his struggles with spending time with his son.
- Ashley Rose asks the important question: “Do you really know what you’re doing?“
- Over at the Evangelical Outpost, there is a post discussing Obama’s recent comments that “America is not a Christian Nation.”
- For you Christian bloggers out there, Blogging Ministry has a a post on “The Importance of Browser Checks.”
- Thought provoking post over at Abundance of Grace regarding “In Christ You Are Dead to Sin.” (HT: My brother-in-Christ, Shane of Caffeinated Thoughts.)
- Great treatise on Prayer at Camponthis.
- April 15 marked the one year birthday of DefCon. If you haven’t already, add them to your feed. Great blog.
- My brother Demian of Fallen and Flawed asks you to consider if you are a true Christian.
- Husbands! Go directly to Kurt’s Fish4Souls by clicking here.
- I was so glad to read Chrystal’s posting on the Word of Faith heresy. You can find it at Slaughter of the Sheep.
May He Increase!
