Blessed Friday to everyone. I hope it was a good week for you all.
This week’s episode:
- First link this week: please keep our brother-in-Christ, Philip Gibb and his young son, in prayer. Philip’s son is suffering through a bad case of eczema. My heart breaks for Philip as I am a father of a young son myself.
- MSNBC hosted a survey about what us Americans think of “In God We Trust?” Not sure when it ended, but the end results come as no surprise to me. Sure, it’s not scientific, but it really makes me wonder why it’s the minority voices that we hear so loudly.
- Eugene Cho posted about not being afaid of dreaming. It’s something I needed to read. I can dream all day. Jumping is another matter for me.
- The Gospel & Idolatry. Really great post that made me see things in a new way. Idolatry is so dangerous that I think most Christians take it too lightly.
- In my almost five-months blogging, I’ve run across and even participated in Waging War Against Fellow Believers. Heck, I’ve even ventured into a few blogs, shared what I’ve read in the Bible and then have gotten flamed myself…from fellow Christians. This was a sobering post on why this should not be so. (HT: Camponthis).
- Dan Edelen reminds us to Never Walk Alone. Check out the first comment and the quote from John Calvin. How many churches are preaching that?
- One of the most horrifying posts I’ve read in a long time concerning abortion.
- Christian bloggers beware: “Cyber-bullying” bill before Congress right now.
- I will admit, I haven’t paid a lot of attention to the controversy surrounding Carrie Prejean. I know enough to say I know who she is. Her pastor, Miles McPherson, was recently on O’Reilly. (HT: Caffeinated Thoughts)
- Judges 21:25, although written several thousand years ago, perfectly describes our nation’s attitude.
- Would you be willing to die for your blog?
- Pastor Greg Laurie has a timely suggestion What Mothers Really Want. Mother’s Day is Sunday after all.
- Martrydom? What’s that?
- If you have time, Truth Matters has a great video from Paul Washer on Ten Indictments. I need to finish watching it myself.
May He Increase!

Great links! How do you find such good ones?
I especially enjoyed Eugene Cho’s post.
I will pray for the little one with eczema… that’s so sad.
Amanda!
I already made it on your actual day, but happy birthday again! :-)
The links are–more often than not–from the numerous blogs I subscribe to. Others are from my web-wanderings or links of links. I liked Cho’s post as well. I need to go back and re-read it again. And I know Philip would be blessed knowing that you’re praying for his son.
Thanks for stopping by!
I needed to hear #5!!!! I’m way to quick to correct someone who disagree’s with me. I don’t know why I just don’t wait utill we all get to heaven and then tell them I was right. You know me well enough now Joe to know I’m kidding!!!
Ike,
I hear you. Thanks for your sense of humor!
