What a Difference a Day Makes

As I write this, I’m amazed at just how much is going on in our world.

In this midst of all this is a story that doesn’t appear to be getting headline news. Today, Friday, June 26, the Patriarch of the Ethiopia Orthodox Church is going to reveal the Ark of the Covenant!

It’s curious to me that the western media hasn’t picked up on this story (as of late Thursday, June 25). The news is mostly out of Italian media. If you’ve been following the blog recently, you will recall the series on the ark and the mercy seat and the connection to Ethiopia.

As I have many times, I cannot stress to you, reader, that you must be in relationship with Jesus, the Meshiach Nagid, our Messiah and coming King. No matter what is going on in our world, one thing is for certain, the Bible is the Word of God and the Bible says what it means, and it means what it says. It says that Israel will become a nation (it did in 1948). It says that Jesus will return (we are eagerly–if you are a Christian–seeking Him). It says that a third Temple will be built in Israel (plans are under way, preparation for new priests and utensils are all being done now).

The time is now! You are not promised tomorrow. You aren’t promised 30 seconds from now. Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved!

May He Increase!

UPDATE 6/26 @ 2:00 PM PDT: Apparently the Patriarch backed off from his intention to display the ark. That’s okay. Quite frankly, if the ark’s and mercy seat’s destiny is determined upon Jesus’ Second Coming, then we need to wait a little longer … who knows how much longer? But based on what is happening all around us, it won’t be for much longer!

About Joe

I am a born-again Christian who believes the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God-breathed. I am a husband, father and stepfather who eagerly waits for the return of Jesus, the Meshiach Nagid.

The ark may well be there, but I am not holding my breath waiting for it to appear. It would be fascinating however as I figure it may well appear for use in the rebuilt temple. By the way, I finally got around to making some comments on the rapture article you linked to at my blog.
    Shalom,
    Jeff

      Thanks Jeff.

Part of me doesn’t want them to unveil anything because truly, it’s not time yet (if the ark is truly there). Let it remain under wraps for the time being. I don’t see any reason for it to be made public, honestly. It’s hard for me to say that because I would love to see it. However, I think it would distract many from who the ark is for! It would just become an idol to many and that’s not it’s purpose.

From the sound of some of the things in the articles, it may already be an idol to many of those who have it in their care. I think it would be fascinating to see it as well, although I seriously doubt they would let anyone open it up even if they did allow it to be seen. I don’t see the ark as some mystical artifact. It is something special to be sure because of its history with God’s covenant and His chosen people. It may well be close to time in any case.
