Words for the Wise – No. 12

Posted By Joe on August 5, 2009

This entry is part 12 of 14 in the series Words for the Wise

It is the same for all. There is one fate for the righteous and for the wicked; for the good, for the clean and for the unclean; for the man who offers a sacrifice and for the one who does not sacrifice. As the good man is, so is the sinner; as the swearer is, so is the one who is afraid to swear. This is an evil in all that is done under the sun, that there is one fate for all men. Furthermore, the hearts of the sons of men are full of evil and insanity is in their hearts throughout their lives. Afterwards they go to the dead. --Ecclesiastes 9:2-3. (Emphasis mine.)

The  great Day of the Lord is drawing near; the signs are all around us. Are you in right standing before God? How will He judge you? By your works? By your own righteousness? Filthy rags! There is only One who is pure and clean: Jesus the Christ! Are you His? Do you know His voice? Will He know you on the last day?

Call on Him!

May He Increase!

  1. He'd better know me!

He's adopted me and gave me His name.

I used to be "no people"...now I am "His people".

But, I am leaving the final decision to Him. (I hope he doesn't messit up :D )

    • Joe says:

If you're His, we can rest knowing that it's His responsibility!

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. --John 10:27-28.

      I love this verse!
