“We must remember that the greatest price of this conflict is not paid by us. It’s not paid by politicians. It’s paid by the Israeli girl in Sderot who closes her eyes in fear that a rocket will take her life in the middle of the night. It’s paid for by the Palestinian boy in Gaza who has no clean water and no country to call his own. These are all God’s children. And after all the politics and all the posturing, this is about the right of every human being to live with dignity and security. That is a lesson embedded in the three great faiths that call one small slice of Earth the Holy Land. And that is why, even though there will be setbacks and false starts and tough days, I will not waver in my pursuit of peace.” –Read the entire speech by President Obama to the United Nations General Assembly, September 23, 2009.
President Obama addressed the United Nations on Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Above is a small excerpt of his comments about Israel and the Palestinians.
It’s true that all of the people who live in the region “are all God’s children.” And it is also true that we all have the right “to live with dignity and security.”
It’s true that there are three faiths that call that region in the Middle East “the Holy Land”: the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims. However, the similarities start diverging at that point.
The Jews and the Christians both believe in the one, true God: Yahweh or Jehovah. However, the Muslims don’t share that same belief. Moreover, the God of the Bible has unilaterally promised the land of this region to the Israelites alone.
Until Jesus comes back and establishes His kingdom on the earth, there will be no lasting peace in that region. Unless the entire world concedes what God has promised to His people Israel as outlined in the Torah and the Bible.
“Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah. It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.” –Zechariah 12:2-3.
May He Increase!

Joe…..it sure looks like Israel isn’t going to wait for the USA……and they will go in and take down their nuclear sites. What happens after they are done bombing Iran???? We’ll see.
Ike, we live in interesting and expectant times. Just as the people 2,000 years ago lived in a time of expectation that the Meshiach was near, we also can see that the time is drawing near for the Meshiach to return for his bride!
