Jesus Won’t Let You Go

Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out." --John 6:35-37.

It's reassuring to know that Jesus will not reject you if you come to Him in faith. And do you realize if you seek Jesus out, it is God Himself who is drawing you to Him?

Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. --Ephesians 1:4-6.

Do you also realize that God has been dealing with you since before the foundation of the world? This passage in Ephesians is part of one of the most challenging verses in the entire Bible. It deals with truly heady material. But suffice it to say that God has had His eye on you before creation. If He is drawing you into a relationship with Him, He has predestined that relationship.

"For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me." --John 6:38.

As we return back to John, we see Jesus as the Son speaking of doing the will of the Father. What is the will of the Father?

"This is the will of the Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day." --John 6:39.

That's you and I. If we are His, He will not lose us. You cannot lose your salvation. Whose responsibility is it to keep you? It's Jesus'!

"For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day." --John 6:40.

It is God's will that all who believe in Jesus will have eternal life. And it's Jesus Himself that will raise us to new life, even after we physically die and leave this earth.

If you can sense that God is drawing you into a relationship with Him, don't ignore that voice!
