Merry Christmas 2009!
Posted By Joe on December 25, 2009
On behalf of my family, I want to wish each one of you a blessed, holy, and Merry Christmas 2009!
I scarcely can believe that another year has gone by. So much has happened this past year (good and bad) but I can testify that God has brought us through.
I don't know what God has planned for my family in 2010. I'm sure that we will have our ups and downs. But I do know that God is faithful. I'm reminded of what Jeremiah said:
"'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.'" --Jeremiah 29:11-13.
That being said, I plan on taking a blogging break for the last week of the year. As you may know, I started my new job on Monday, December 21 after being out of work for five months. I'm trying to get my bearings back now that I'm recovering from a five-month "vacation" and returning to a commute after working from home for three years. I should be back blogging on Monday, January 4, 2010!
Merry Christmas!
Joe.

Happy Holidays
and Merry merry Christmas
praise be to Jesus Christ
our Lord and Saviour
Merry Christmas to you, too and your family! God bless you in 2010.
Hey Joe. I trust that you had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying again the delights of employment after the holiday. Thank you for all your study and insights and also for your encouraging words along the way both here and at my blog. May God richly bless you in the coming year.
Jeff! Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm sorry I haven't been by Jeofurry in a while. Things have been rather busy since mid-November.
So blessed to have gotten to know you this year and I'm blessed to be able to call you a brother-in-Christ. Joe.
Joe! At least one of us has a job! May God bless you in the work place, the home and all places He calls upon you to minister. I will look forward to your return to the blogosphere! You are great sermon prep!
Will, yes, God actually arranged it all that I got the job offer the day before Thanksgiving! I laughed when I got off the phone and just thanked God for His perfect timing. It was laughter of pure joy.
Starting my second week today and it's already been quite an adventure. I have already found two, new brothers-in-Christ!. But it's also a rich field, ready for harvest.
Humbled yet again that a pastor finds this blog to be "sermon prep." Wow. I'm working on my new series to start the year off right: Isaiah 5. I'm excited to see what God will bring in 2010.
I will keep you in my prayers, Will, that God provides a job for you soon.
In Christ,
Joe.
