Neither Slumber Nor Sleep

Checked the headlines lately?

Israel is front-page news again. Israel, the cup of trembling, once again has the ire of the world at large concerning their blockade of Gaza.

I don’t worry about Israel. The whole world can go ahead and condemn them. I’m not the least bit worried nor concerned about Israel. You know why?

Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever. –Psalm 121:4-8.

The Creator of all things keeps Israel. Do you hear me all you enemies of God’s chosen? God keeps Israel, and He will neither slumber nor sleep! And for how long? Forever!

That is security.

Discern the signs of the times (Matthew 16:3): Israel’s Messiah is returning soon: which side will He find you on?

May He Increase!

I don’t worry about Israel either…..isn’t interesting the “stupid” stuff I do worry about. I have the same promises!!

  2. I worry about too many things that I ought not.

I guess that’s just another reason that I need a Savior.

You guys are right…He will handle it all.

Hey Steve. Oh yeah, for the past month or so, my family has been going through the wringer on so many issues. I wrestle with “do not worry,” seemingly, on a daily basis lately and it’s taking its toll on me, personally.

I’m glad God knows how much I can handle. I’m thinking that I’m way beyond what I can handle right now.

But He gives us these times to draw us closer to Him. He needs to sometimes strip everything away until we get on our knees and cry out “Abba! Father!”

    Joe,
His promises are indeed eternal. I don’t know if you have seen it, but I did a post about this topic yesterday and included a youtube video, put together by some Israelis about the flotilla thing, that was really funny.
I have been praying for you as well my brother after seeing a couple of your comments on FB. May God grant you his shalom in this time.

    • Joe says:

Jeff, I saw that you did that post but I haven’t had a chance to read it. I plan to for sure.

Thanks so much for keeping us in prayer. God has a plan though we may not understand what or why we are going through these difficult times.

      Appreciate you, my brother!
